5th Annual Listening Room International Songwriters Retreat, Ireland

The fifth annual Listening Room International Songwriters Retreat, Ireland,
will be held once again on Inisheer, smallest of the Aran Islands, October 5-12, 2008.

In this magical setting, ancient stone walls traverse a landscape that houses three hundred full time residents
who's first language is the original Irish Gaelic tongue. There are few cars, (more horse drawn carriages)
and the sounds are primarily of wind and sea, with the Cliffs of Moher rising in the distance.

A maximum of twenty international songwriters will gather on the island from throughout the US, Western Europe
and beyond on this beautiful island for an intensive, focused week of co-writing and development of craft.

During the week, writers will participate in daily assigned co-writes, as well as evening song share circles.
In addition, a concert performance will take place on the island, as well as
in the river city of Galway.

The price for this week long event, including shared housing and meals, is 750. Euro per person.
Private rooms are available at additional cost, on a limited basis. Transportation from Galway
to and from the island is included. All transport from participants home country to the tourist center
in Galway is the responsibility of the participant.

Several airlines have regular, low cost flights into Shannon Airport (the closest arrival point to Galway).

Registration is open to writers at all levels of development who possess a sincere desire to grow, upon review of their work.
Limited to 20 students on a first come, first serve basis, with spots confirmed upon receipt of a non-refundable 10% deposit.
